History

After a series of oil business liberalization moves under public policy, the oil and retail businesses have blossomed with multiple traders, producing efficient market mechanisms to drive competition in fulfilling customers’ needs. The business is now completely liberalized. To enhance OR’s potential competitive advantage and flexibility, on July 1, 2018, PTT restructured its organization and transferred all businesses under its Oil Business Unit, including the shares of related companies, to PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR).

Operating the oil and retail businesses as a PTT Group flagship company, OR pursues new business opportunities, conducts research and improves products and services to always deliver impressive experience, invigorate SMEs, grow together into a world-class Thai company that creates shared values for all stakeholders in a balanced and sustainable manner, and bring pride to Thais.

The logo signifies OR’s identity of Simple (plain, outstanding, differentiated), Freeform (boundless, active, able to move ahead from one success to another), and Connected (integrating the oil and retail businesses). Detailed meanings are below:

  • Blue stripe in the “O” and “R” letters represents the value transferred from PTT to OR, an extension of long-standing success
  • Blue stripe in the “O” connotes dynamic movement with boundless capability.
  • Blue stripe in the “R” points upward, meaning progress.
  • Dark blue and Light blue, OR’s primary colors, underscore success, poised for becoming a world-class company.
