Water resources are important for OR’s business operations across both the Mobility and Lifestyle business groups. Efficient water consumption supports business continuity, creates value for local economies, and contributes to improving the quality of life of surrounding communities. At the same time, OR recognizes the risks associated with water scarcity in certain areas, as well as challenges related to wastewater and effluent management that may cause environmental and social impacts on communities in the vicinity of OR’s operations or establishments, which may be directly affected.
Accordingly, OR places strong emphasis on water management through collaborative projects with partners and the application of technologies for efficient water management, such as wastewater treatment for water reuse, as well as awareness-raising campaigns to encourage offices to use water responsibly.
*OR sets water-related targets by considered following key factors, including assessing water use with internationally recognized tools to identify Water Stress Areas. It also reviews each facility’s activities and historical water consumption to establish area-specific water withdrawal control targets. These targets align with the company’s policy as well as national water management guidelines and relevant government regulations.
Water Management
OR promotes the concept of maximizing the sustainable use of natural resources, with water being one of the crucial resources. Therefore, OR emphasizes managing the water used in the company’s operations by integrating into QSHE policy and annual target. OR has established water management as the following:
Effective organization-wide water use management at OR is implemented through the following actions:
OR conducts water use assessments to identify opportunities for water efficiency improvements, utilizing water assessment tools and internationally recognized standard data, such as AQUEDUCT, in conjunction with an evaluation of water sources used across OR’s operations, including tap water and groundwater. The assessment results show that 70.3% of the company’s facilities are located in Water Stress Areas. Accordingly, OR promotes business operations that maximize water use efficiency, while simultaneously raising awareness among relevant stakeholders.
In addition, OR assesses water-related impacts in accordance with ISO 14001:2015. Where water resource use is identified as a significant aspect, improvement initiatives are implemented to enhance water use efficiency at the relevant establishments. Such initiatives are subject to regular annual audits under the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015), covering 100% of OR’s establishments.
Establishment of targets to reduce water use
OR has established organizational targets to reduce water use by setting water withdrawal intensity targets for each establishment. OR records water consumption data from all operational areas through the OR ESG Data Platform and analyzes actual water use against the established water reduction targets (QSHE Controlling Target).
Implementation of water management
OR has installed a water circulation system at all LPG cylinder refurbishing plants to reuse water used in the Hydrostatic Test and Expansion Test processes of LPG cylinders. The water is recycled for reuse in the same testing processes, reducing the need of external (third-party) water withdrawal and providing an efficient approach to water management.
OR manages water usage in its production processes efficiently, recycling water, focusing on water conservation, and implementing technology for water management. The Company also takes responsibility for water use throughout its supply chain, such as treating wastewater for reuse and campaigning to raise awareness among office areas to use water responsibly. This aims to minimize the impact of water resource use in operations and mitigate the impact to surrounding societies, communities and living being.
OR has also implemented action to reduce water consumption at office buildings and relevant establishments, such as LPG cylinder refurbishing plants in all areas, factories within lifestyle business centers (OASYS), and certain PTT stations, which have installed water treatment systems for water recycling.
In addition, OR actively strengthens knowledge, understanding, and awareness among employees through structured internal communications on environmental data reporting, with particular emphasis on water management and water-related performance reporting.

OR complies with all applicable environmental laws, international standards, and procedures. Therefore, all operations completely comply with regulations. Enhancement of wastewater management details are shown as the following:

OR implements the application of water recycling, focusing on the reuse of non-contaminated water from general use (Grey Water), and cooling towers as well as actions to improve wastewater quality, such as effluent monitoring, improvements, and periodic sampling. Key projects to enhance wastewater management efficiency and quality include:
To ensure that wastewater quality meets discharge standards in all areas and does not impact the environment or nearby communities, OR has established regular monitoring of wastewater quality. Based on the monitoring results conducted by the Mobile Lab, zero non-compliance with wastewater quality regulations was found in 2025. Additionally, OR provides channels for complaints and feedback from the general public through the Contact Center 1365 and Website. If any issues related to wastewater management are identified, the complaints/feedback will be used to further improve management processes.
In addition, to reduce the use of chemicals and residual substances in wastewater discharged from business operations, OR has chosen to use enviico cleaning products, which are environmentally friendly, at PTT Stations and Café Amazon branches operated by OR. These products are designed to naturally decompose, reducing the use of chemicals and chemical residue in the environment. Furthermore, the products are made available for sale to customers to promote the use of environmentally friendly products.
