Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, and Mr. Tan See Leng, Minister of Labor and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore, were present at the MoU signing ceremony between Thailand’s private sector and Singapore during the conference of Singapore-Thailand Enhanced Economic Relationship (STEER), with Mr. Racha U-Thaichan Senior Executive Vice President, Global Business, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) and Mr. Kantinan Tunveenukoon, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, SLEEK EV Company Limited (Sleek EV), also attending. This time cooperation is to seek and identify business opportunities in the electric motorcycle market and related business that can be jointly engaged by PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) and Sleek EV Company Limited. OR and SLEEK EV, a Thai-Singaporean electric motorcycle dealer of the SLEEK EV brand, will go hand in hand to study business opportunities in the electric motorcycle field and other related businesses to promote the use of clean energy among motorcycles, as well as opportunities to shape an ecosystem that is friendly to the adoption, to meet both social and environmental needs.
OR is primed to become a leader in driving electrification for travel and transportation within the country as affirmed in its mission, Seamless Mobility. OR will be a provider and advocate that encourages the adoption of electric vehicles in consumers and businesses’ daily life while also developing a full version of the EV business to become a leader in the EV Ecosystem. Electric motorcycles are considered another business development goal of OR in becoming a provider of fully integrated electric vehicle business, as motorcycles are a vehicle that is easily accessible and does not need much effort to switch to an electric power system. Thus, EV adoption can be expedited within Thailand. In addition, OR continues to seek further end-to-end opportunities to complement user experience and that of the business sector to facilitate a seamless transition from fuel to electricity, and to cater services that touch the needs of EV users as much as possible.
