Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment welcomed and held discussions with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Linkham Douangsavanh, Minister of Agriculture and Environment of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), to strengthen cooperation by translating policy frameworks into concrete action. They emphasized that no single country can address forest fires, haze, and PM2.5 pollution alone. On this occasion, they jointly presided over a handover ceremony for forest fire prevention and response equipment to the Lao PDR, comprising 30 leaf blowers. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Raweewan Puridech, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; Mrs. Thongchanh Akhamakhet, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of the Lao PDR; and Mr. Songpon Thepnumsommanus, Senior Executive Vice President, Global Business, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR). The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
